”2020 Wanning Hobie 16 Round Island Challenge“ was hosted by the People’s Government of Wanning City, Tourism Culture and Sports Bureau of Wanning City, Hainan China Source Shimei Bay Tourism Development Co., Ltd., and co organized by Hainan Huanqiu Tuohai Culture and Sports Co., Ltd. Wanning is a city in the southeast of Hainan Province, China
With off the beach starts with the sailors running down the beach to launch their boats. Then racing around the island to only to have to run back up the beach to complete the race added to the spectacle of the racing. Added to great parties with plenty of food after racing. Beach camp fire and it added up to a spectacular event.
The race was also under supervision of Chinese Hobie Class Association. The 15 Hobie Teams enjoyed sailing around beautiful Wanning. Sailing around the spectacular island, the Hobie sailors all agreed that they would be back next year for another fantastic race in one of the beautiful locations.
