2017 Fiji Hobie Challenge & Oceania will start and finish at Mana Island. Mana Island is 32km West of Nadi and is situated on a 300 acre lush tropical paradise, amongst white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Mana and Island X are top notch, Island X is 5 star.
At the European Hobie Class Association AGM, retiring International Hobie Class Association Rules Chairman Erik Olsen was presented an award for his years of service to the Hobie class. Erik has been the chairman of the IHCA Rules Committee for over 15 years. Last year the IHCA Council awarded Erik Life Membership of the IHCA.

11-13 November the French Hobie Cat 16 Classic Championship took place on the Lake of Carcans-Maubuisson (Gironde). Thirty-eight boats were registered and high-level competitors were present.
