This year, the French Championships takes place in Châtelaillon-Plage (in the South-West of France), from the 3rd to the 5th of June.
The host club and the local Hobie dealer plan a concert, the annual Hobie family meals, a diner with high-quality regional specialities, friendly atmosphere all the week-end…and demos of Hobie accessories and sup.
But look!!!…New features are on the agenda:
Several activities will be offered to competitors and to their family, as yoga, muscular awakening and beach volley. To ensure best practices during the competition, a brief on racing rules will be given by coaches of the host club.
For this 2017 edition, the French Hobie Class Association (AFHC) created two trophies: one for Tigers and one for Wild Cats. Winners of each series of the 2017 Championships will have their name written. Those trophies join those for HC16 and HC14.
This year, an environmental component will take place during the competition.
Thanks to the involvement of a local association (Association Voile Environnement), competitors will be invited to participate to a great environmental program granted by a national foundation: Fondation Léa Nature.
The objective is to alert and awareness sailors on the need to preserve the marine biodiversity, at sea and ashore.
During all the competition, containers for selective sorting will be made available for competitors and the staff of the event. Furthermore, waste bags will be distributed to each team in order to collect their own nautical wastes. At the end of the competition, each team will receive a present made by the local association Remise à Flot…made with Hobie Cat recycled sails!
Don’t miss the event! All Nations are welcome to participate!
