Despite that foreign sailors could not attend due to covid 19 restrictions, on Saturday 10 enthusiastic Hobie sailors were ready for the start. The weather conditions were rough with 16-25 knots northwest with a very high surf. Our best sailors and the lifeboat flipped over in the surf. We decided with pain in our hearts to postpone the race to Sunday.
On Sunday it was beautiful sailing weather with 12-16 knots.
We decided to combine the 14s with 20 other cats from our neighbours from Katwijk and Scheveningen and ended the day with strong Hobie stories while enjoying a drink and a BBQ.
We hope that next year our Hobie friends from abroad will be present again for the Hobie 14 Wassenaar Cup 2021!
