Wonderful Hobie day for the dispute of another AHCC (Adriatic Hobie Cat Cup), now in its 15th year.
Sunday 12 June: sunny summer day, north wind Tramontana with an intensity of 10/12 knots, protective sunscreen, trapeze and spray top, all for another event magnificently organized by the Svagamente sailing club for the 808 Pescara Fleet championship.
Recalling that the tests of the day of May 22 were not held due to the absence of wind, the youths athletes of the sailing school, trained by the instructor Mauro Di Feliceantonio, but also the “masters” 808’s, were awarded on that same day, doing hoarding of cups and awards in the catamaran category, at the annual “Stelle della Vela” festival, the award ceremony for the sailors of the IX FIV Italy area.
Another recognition on the bulletin board for the crew Dall’Olio Caterina and Di Tillio Camilla, winners in the all-female category, at the recent HC16 absolute Italian championship held last weekend in Cesenatico.
Returning to AHCC 2022, podium of the day for Cozzolino-Ciattoni (6 + 1 + 1) points 8, second Morelli-Troiano (1 + 2 + 5) points 8, third Marino-Piersante (3 + 4 + 3) points 10 .
General classification, after 12 races, see Cozzolino-Ciattoni in command, followed by Marino-De Felice / Piersante and Schiazza-Di Tillio / Nasoni.
The next AHCC, also valid for the award of the Cozzolino trophy, now in its 6th edition, is scheduled for Sunday 17 July.
